YOU ARE PERFECT!!!

"Nobody looks as beautiful as their facebook profile picture and nobody looks as ugly as their adhaar card picture." A wonderful quote said by Gaur Gopal das. Why do we subject ourselves with our pictures? The quote stated above is a funny quote and we all agree to it. But it has a lot of meanings. We all compare ourselves with others. At some point of our life, we are even jealous of someone's life. Being jealous is human nature and only a strong mind cannot be one. But why do we compare ourselves with our own pictures? Why do we think the life we put on display is better than our actual life?

Social media is a great platform to share our pictures, talents and a bunch of other stuffs. I am thankful to all the people who invented these apps. When we all started using these apps, we promised ourselves that social media will be on the bottom line of our priority list. Is it now? Most of your answers will be no. We all agree to the fact that our virtual life is way more better than our real life. We all started to subject ourselves to the number of likes and followers we have.

One day a priest asked his young audience, "How many of you love yourselves?" Everyone's raised their hands without even thinking. The priest smiled.  He came down from the stage and asked a boy to share his pictures. The boy shared all his pictures with no regret. The priest asked him, " Delete all the pictures from all your social media." The boy said, "I cannot do that." The priest asked why. He said that all his pictures were of high quality and cannot be clicked again. The priest repeated the question,"why?" He told, "I may not look good or I may not get the perfect shot again." The priest again asked his audience, "How many of you love yourselves?" There were no hands in the air.

This is the truth. We are all so involved in our virtual world and miss out the fun of reality. The fun around us, wonderful things happening around us. We love ourselves through a screen and not through our mirrors. Start taking care of yourself, not your accounts. Start loving yourself for the way you look, not your edited pictures. Start putting a mark on yourself for the actions you do, not by the likes and followers. Start living in the real world, not the virtual one. Stay Home.Stay Safe. Stay Happy.
